I asked out this guy I like to the movies and we finally went tonight. I drove, I picked him up at his place, I paid for the movie, I paid for our popcorn, I asked to come in after the movie, I gave him a kiss goodbye on the cheek, and I was bummed that nothing more happened. | It fascinates me how the dating scene works. It reminds me of a food chain in some sense. The chain of dating pretty much flows in one direction. It's rare to find two people that like each other the same.
It's just wierd to me to think that things are supposed to work this way.
Tonight I was supposed to go out with a guy to a movie but he called and declined. So I was bummed of course. But the second I get off the phone with him, another guy is asking me out on a date and I pretty much declined the offer. | I just got of the phone with Jamie. She said that her dad will most likely die today or tomorrow. She said the nurse thought that, but ya never can be sure when. So looks like my bday will be a very sad one. I'm still going to go out tonight though and get wasted. That's what Steve would have done.
I guess after my dad went to visit Steve yesterday, he was so worked up that he accidently ran a red light and ran a car off the road, but he just kept driving. He could have been in a terrible accident. I wish I could be home to watch out for him. I worry about my family a lot...Jamie, my dad, my other cousins. This will be the saddest death in our family yet.

| My neighbor girl is really annoying for some reason...
Tonight I was trying to bring my stuff in from my trip to country stampede and she stopped and talked to me for like 15 minutes. She was interrogating me as to why I don't have a boyfriend or a husband. The girl is only like 7 years old. She asked if I was a teenager and why I don't have a boy living with me. I told her I'm only 21. Then she asked well why aren't you married then and I said 'cuz I don't want to be. Then she proceeded to ask about who the guy was that helped move me in then...which was Dirk. | I'm so freakin excited! I'm going to Country Stampede (countrystampede.com) in Manhattan, KS on Wednesday and won't be back in NE til Sunday. I'm going w/ my 3 best friends- Brandi, Jamie, and Andrea. This is will be the highlight of my summer : ) I hardly ever get to see my best friends and now I get to spend a whole weekend with them camping, drinking all day long, listening to some good hick music, and just having fun. Do you get turned on by storms?
The other day at work, the older guys I work with were talking about how I love storms...They know this because I always know the forecast and what chance there is for storms that night. It doesn't take much work to check out my desktop weather guide so it's not like I'm a freak or anything. Newaz, one of the guys was like "oh, Megan, you get turned on my storms?" I just kind of ignored him and he went on about how he's heard that chicks get turned on my storms and want to have sex. This guy is like 40 years old and is such a pervert...I have another story about him in a minute. But what do you guys think; is there some truth to it. And if it true, then why? What evolutionary purpose would getting turned on during storms serve? Just a ? I've been pondering.
And here's my other story about this guy...today I was talking about how these yellow pots we have are really ugly and that we should paint them so people will buy them. The perverted coworker w/ old balls says "I was thinking something like that, or you could just stick your boobs in bodypaint and press them up against the pots. Guys would buy them then". And my supervisor and I just look at eachother, sorta laugh, and quickly walk away. I have no idea where this guy comes up w/ this stuff and then has the balls to actually say it.

| I'm going to start writing in this more often...
Today (June 16th), my great-grandmother Barbara Ewert would have turned 100 years old, but unfortunately President Bush getting reelected killed her 2 years ago. She died on the afternoon that Pres. Bush gave his victory speech. I really don't believe Bush killed her but it wasn't a nice coincidence...one of the worst days of my life. But newaz...I like to think about my great-grandma sometimes because she was the only grandparent I was ever around. I was her favorite grandchild too and she had many to choose from. She always kept a picture of me near her so now I do the same in return. I have a few pics of her in a frame that I keep in my living room and whenever I look at it, it gives me some inspiration that I may one day be like her. She was a carefree woman who just lived life day to day. She died of old age and had nothing wrong with her...that's the way I want to go. | | comments: Leave a comment |
